O victorious saviour! When you rose from the grave, you raised us up as well, making our hearts soar with joy at the thought of our own coming resurrection. We glorify you, master, for, though the stone was sealed, you came forth from the tomb, just as you came forth from your mother's womb though she remained a virgin. Filled with wonder by all that you have done for us, we entreat you: Grant that what we celebrate today in word and song may be clear to all by how we live: By the prayers of the Theotokos and all your saints.
For you are the king of peace and the saviour of our souls, and we give you glory, together with your eternal Father and your all-holy, good, and life-giving Spirit: now and forever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
(A prayer of Fr. Laurence)
