On Sunday, March 17, 2019, at 6:00 pm, Orthodox Christians of Atlanta metropolitan area attended the Pan-Orthodox Vespers service on the Sunday of Orthodoxy. 17 priests belonging to most US Orthodox jurisdictions, together with His Grace Sevastianos, Vicar Bishop of the Greek Metropolis of Atlanta have served and prayed for the world and for the unity of the Orthodox Church. In the procession with the holy icons each priest carried the icon of the patron saint of the church where he serves and read the Synodicon of Orthodoxy. At the end of the Vespers service the Romanian hieromonk Serafim Aldea, the guest speaker for this event, gave a sermon about Humanity and Creation: Icons of the Kingdom of God.
