On Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 6:00 pm, the priests and believers in the Orthodox parishes in the Atlanta area gathered at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Atlanta for a Pan-Orthodox Vespers. More than 20 priests and many faithful prayed together for Christian unity. At the end of Vespers, it was a procession with icons and the reading of the Synodicon of Orthodoxy with the remembrance of those who defended the right faith.
The special guest of the evening was Father George Parsenios, a PhD in classical theology with a doctorate defended at Yale University. Father George made a beautiful and concise presentation of the seeming contradictions in the modern experience of Orthodoxy. The evening ended with a brotherly lenten meal.
